The Albany Chef’s Food & Wine Festival hosts a highly successful annual event, one of the largest foodie gatherings in New York’s Capital Region. It raises tens of thousands of dollars for the arts every year. In 2013, the festival approached us about creating a new look for their brand and a better presentation online. Over 4 years later, we’re still going strong. The festival has seen explosive growth in both it’s size and popularity. We’ve tried to ensure their marketing efforts keep pace.
In partnership with board member Michelle Hines Abraham, we established a new logo design, a printed guide to the festival, and a new website. The board members wanted marketing that more accurately represented the culinary style and elegance the festival is known for. They also wanted patrons to be able to find their favorite events on any device and purchase tickets online.
New England Standard built the website from the bottom up. We created a wireframe that segmented events on different pages, so audiences could easily find information they were looking for. We also introduced keywords to the site, allowing for easier indexing by search engines. Patrons can now purchase tickets online from any page on the website, which proved to be a huge revenue generator. We’ve also designed myriad print collateral, dozens of sub event logos & full ad campaigns to support this event. 2016 will see even more evolution in the brand and their platform, and we’re more committed than ever.
