The YMCA is a huge community resource in Plattsburgh, New York. The needs of their ever-expanding membership called for an updated website with a responsive layout and new functionality.

We updated the architecture and content for improved search engine visibility, while designing an new look that fits perfectly within official brand guidelines. For the first time ever, members can manage their accounts and enroll in programs online. The project also included responsive calendars that members can access from any device.

Our client wanted was looking for a warm and inviting interactive platform; a place for people to share inspiring stories of human kindness, dignity, and understanding. We proposed an integrated solution that included website development, graphic design, social media, and content marketing & deployment.

Founded by the Schuylerville United Methodist Church, The Way is a charitable retail store that invests proceeds from every sale back into the community. They needed a website where they could describe their mission, offer directions, and ask for donations. The store was modeled after similar successful enterprises in upstate New York. We wanted to emphasize that the Way was not selling someone else’s throw-aways. The store accepts only high quality, gently used clothing for resale, and our task was to develop a website that reflected their focus on quality goods.

This project included on-page search engine optimization (SEO), design, and website development. We designed a simple, yet elegant website that accomplished all of the client’s objectives, directing the user to each critical and actionable page to help satisfy the mission’s goals.

These exciting projects came from a Norwegian human rights organization whose mission is keeping religion and politics separate in public policy. They published a quarterly magazine that keeps their members informed on the issues, and how Human-Etisk Forbund is influencing the discussion. The client wanted a fresh design for their publication, something clean, eye-catching, and engaging for the readers.

The goal was to create a fresh look for the magazine that would build and sustain passion from the members who read it. We created a whole new design and layout that accomplished their goals, a real challenge since the publication is written in a language we have no experience with. With a little help from the client, we managed to lay out a highly engaging magazine for members to enjoy.

VHFA is a non-profit agency that has helped first-time homebuyers get into affordable homes in Vermont for 40 years. They have a long and fascinating history. We’ve designed calendars, print ads, info graphics & web ads to help tell that story.

The finished 2013 Calendar was an 11×17, glossy publication on cover stock. We pitched them a few designs that had spot channel, dull aqueous coating and gloss patterns to really make the cover graphics jump. We get a little over excited sometimes. In 2014, we switched gears and presented their annual report graphically. 100% info-graphics in fact. VHFA wanted to highlight specific events in their history, educating people about their mission to make the dream of homeownership available to any Vermonter. If a picture is worth 1000 words; an info-graphic is worth 10,000.

With both major projects, and in all our campaign work, VHFA chose to high-light important milestones brought to life with rich copy, beautiful photo collages, and warm, inviting graphics. They final pieces were given away to members of the organization, community leaders, advocates, and clients.

The Albany Chef’s Food & Wine Festival hosts a highly successful annual event, one of the largest foodie gatherings in New York’s Capital Region. It raises tens of thousands of dollars for the arts every year. In 2013, the festival approached us about creating a new look for their brand and a better presentation online. Over 4 years later, we’re still going strong. The festival has seen explosive growth in both it’s size and popularity. We’ve tried to ensure their marketing efforts keep pace.

In partnership with board member Michelle Hines Abraham, we established a new logo design, a printed guide to the festival, and a new website. The board members wanted marketing that more accurately represented the culinary style and elegance the festival is known for. They also wanted patrons to be able to find their favorite events on any device and purchase tickets online.

New England Standard built the website from the bottom up. We created a wireframe that segmented events on different pages, so audiences could easily find information they were looking for. We also introduced keywords to the site, allowing for easier indexing by search engines. Patrons can now purchase tickets online from any page on the website, which proved to be a huge revenue generator. We’ve also designed myriad print collateral, dozens of sub event logos & full ad campaigns to support this event. 2016 will see even more evolution in the brand and their platform, and we’re more committed than ever.
